Late spring (May–June) offers long days, blooming parks, and pleasant temperatures in the mid-60s°F before the peak summer crowds arrive. July and August are the busiest and warmest months (highs around 73°F) — book major attractions well in advance. September is a sweet spot: crowds thin, the weather stays mild, and the cultural calendar remains packed with theatre, festivals, and events. Winter visits (November–February) are grey and cool but reward visitors with far shorter queues, festive Christmas markets in December, and excellent value on accommodation.
